Good For The Goose…
Start Reading Nancy’s Story Here.
“So what are you going to do?”
“I don’t know.” Nancy belly flopped on her bed. She didn’t bounce, the springs on the single mattress long gone. “He’s supposed to be studying.”
“Maybe she’s a study partner?” Anne sat, straddling the chair back, chin propped on it.
A study partner? “Where were the books?” Why did she have such big boobs? “And why was his arm around her?” Nancy would never forget that. Never.
“That’s true.” A pause. “Did you agree not to see other people?”
“Not officially. I just assumed.” Nancy groaned. “I’m dumb, dumb, dumb.” She punched her pillow, dust flying everywhere. “I thought he liked me.”
“Who says he doesn’t?” Anne was a bit too practical. “We don’t know.” Difficult to over react around her.
“Did you see how pretty she was?” Nancy glared at her new friend. The blonde was gorgeous. She could be a cheerleader for all she knew.
“Yet he’s been dating you. That should tell you something.”
“Yeah something, that I’m a fool.”
Big sigh. “I think you should talk to him.”
“About what?” Nancy scoffed. What was there to say? Hi. I saw you with a blonde bimbo and now I’m a jealous freakazoid of an ex- girlfriend?
“Ask him if he’s seeing other people.” Again with the common sense suggestions.
“And if he says yes?”
Anne’s smile was cunning. “Then you see other people too.”
