“You don’t have to walk me back,” Nancy protested for the millionth time while unashamedly peaking in the open windows of student residences as they passed. A guy sat, football jersey on, beer in hand, watching tv.

A slight shrug rippled Anne’s slender frame. “Have you seen the drunkards running around?”

“There are some loose? Aren’t most of them attending Stanley’s party?” She grinned. Truthfully she appreciated the company.

“We know one is…” Anne’s face scrunched up. “Well, where ever Stanley disappeared to.”

“What is it, Nance?” Anne’s green head turned towards the house also. “Do you know those two?”

She didn’t know the girl. The boobsy, blonde, extremely pretty girl. She was a stranger. The guy sitting beside her, the guy who said he’d be studying… Her heart squeezed. “I know him.”

Nancy felt concerned brown eyes on her face. “Who is he?”

“Ted.”
